HYDROKINESIS was founded in 1993 by Ioannis Chavanis, an Agricultural Machinery and Irrigation Engineer, and has since become a leader in the fields of hydro-drilling and energy solutions. Initially specializing in water boreholes, the company has expanded its expertise to include complete pumping and geothermal installations, as well as water filtration systems—offering integrated water management solutions.
As part of its evolution, HYDROKINESIS absorbed an older business established in 1951 by Kyriakos Kyriakou, one of the first drillers in Greece. Kyriakos Kyriakou’s enterprise, representing the first generation of drilling professionals, developed extensive know-how and experience in the field, with a strong presence in the Greek market.
In 2018, the next generation took an active role in the company with the arrival of Kyriakos Chavanis, a Mechanical Engineer from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), bringing in new expertise and a growth-oriented vision. Today, HYDROKINESIS continues to offer a wide range of services, honoring its family legacy while continuously advancing technology in hydro-drilling, geothermal solutions, and energy.
